Head of Operations – £40,000 per annum
Playlist for Life is the personal music and dementia charity founded in 2013 by writer and broadcaster Sally Magnusson. We have ambitious plans for the next three years and thanks to funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation we are now looking for a very special person to take on a major leadership role at our Head Office in Glasgow.
By 2022 we want to establish a vibrant UK network of Help Points, volunteers, and trained health and care professionals, all creating and using playlists in their communities to help manage dementia symptoms, alleviate distress and reconnect relationships. We have a committed and creative Operations Team and this new post will have responsibility for leading them to expand the network and develop the support our partners need to make the very best use of playlists.
Your previous experience may have been in any sector – NHS, charity, commercial, creative. What matters is that you can show that you are good at building teams to deliver tangible, practical results. You will have solid organisational skills, particularly in project management including budgeting and cashflow projection. Experience of governance in the third sector would be an advantage.
If you would like to be considered for the role please send a CV including two referees, and cover letter to [email protected] by 9am on Monday 11 February 2019.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 27 February 2019.
If you would like to speak about the role in more detail please call 0141 404 0683 to arrange a discussion with the Chief Executive, Sarah Metcalfe.
