This course has been developed both for existing Help Points, and those interested in setting one up. Participants will learn more about Playlist for Life, so they can further support the people in their area to use personal music.
Who should attend?
Existing Help Point volunteers who want to develop their skills and knowledge, so they can provide better support and activities in their area. Places are also available for organisations interested in becoming a Help Point. To become a Help Point your organisation must meet certain criteria. To find out if your organisation would make a good Help Point visit our page on Setting Up a Help Point.
* Note for Health Care Establishments: Care homes and hospital wards can attend Help Point training if they meet the basic criteria for setting up a Help Point. To discuss whether your care organisation is eligible to attend Help Point training please contact the Playlist for Life team using our Contact Us form or call us on 0141 404 0683 before booking.
Please also see our training page for further opportunities for care establishments.
What will I learn?
By the end of the day’s course participants will:
- Have learned and practised ‘Music Detective’ skills to find the right music for an individual
- Explore different ways of playing the music
- Have started to think about potential links with care homes and volunteers

Refreshments will be provided on the day.
