Share the gift of music and memories

We’re raising awareness of the power of personal music for people living with dementia and need your help in sharing some festive cheer.

What music brings back happy festive memories for you? Are there any songs that remind you of a special person in your life who you want to reach out to this Christmas? Do you know someone who might be lonely this festive period or unable to visit loved ones due to the coronavirus pandemic?

Get involved in our festive campaign to help people affected by dementia.

Our Christmas card shop is closed for this year, but you can still donate to help us share music’s power for people living with dementia. All cards have been posted. Due to nationwide delays with Royal Mail, there may be unexpected delays that are unfortunately outside of our control.

Share your festive music memory

Help us raise awareness of music’s power for dementia by sharing a festive musical memory on social media. Watch our #MyFestiveMemory video below for inspiration. Thanks to those who have taken part on social media, including Judy Murray, Colin McCredie and Pippa Kelly.

Awareness raising activities and fundraising are vital for us to support people living with dementia. Any donations you make this festive period will go directly to our goal of sharing the power of personal music with those who could benefit most.

Over two decades of scientific research has shown that listening to a personal playlist can improve the lives of those living with dementia. In fact, listening to music that is personally meaningful has many psychological benefits, meaning anyone can benefit from a playlist. Playlist for Life harnesses the powerful effects of personal music to help anyone who is affected by dementia, their families and carers. Find out more.
