Digital Communications Officer

  • Based: Glasgow or UK remote working. The role is currently based from home, but our office is in Glasgow and the role may require future occasional travel to Glasgow. 
  • Reporting to: Head of Communications and Campaigns 
  • Hours: 3 days per week (22.5 hours) 
  • Salary: £26,250k pro rata per annum
    Fixed term appointment for 12 months.

A wonderful opportunity to join the ground-breaking charity Playlist for Life at an exciting time is available for an experienced Digital Communications Officer. Playlist for Life is the personal music and dementia charity founded in 2013 by writer and broadcaster Sally Magnusson. We have ambitious plans for the next two years and thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund we are recruiting for this new post to help support and roll out our large-scale expansion programme.

By 2022 we want to establish a vibrant UK network of Help Points, volunteers, and trained healthcare and social care professionals, all creating and using playlists in their communities to help manage dementia symptoms, alleviate distress and reconnect relationships. Our Communications Team is central to delivering our bold new plans and this Digital Communications Officer post will take a lead on building and engaging our growing online community.
